A full-grown evergreen stands on a low mound of ground with a few blades of grass at the trunk. The branches sweep downward in tiers, wide at the base and tapering to a fine point, with feathery needle edges and small gaps that show the trunk behind. The feel is quiet and outdoorsy. Cut it for a cabin wall sign, a camping mug decal, a Christmas card, a forest nursery decal, a flannel-style tee or a set of place cards.
A single welded black layer, but the needle tips are the fine part - the tiny points hold cleanly from about 5 inches tall in vinyl and 4 inches in cardstock, smaller than that and the fringe starts to tear. Use a new fine-point blade and slower speed, and weed from the top down so the branch tips stay anchored. Great in matte black or deep green. Pairs with the mountain, deer and camper cut files.
