A single acorn seen from the side, tipped at a gentle angle, with a smooth pointed nut and a shaggy cap made of layered pointed leaf shapes that sweep out to the left. A long curved stem arches above it, and thin white slivers inside the black shape suggest the ridges of the cap and the sheen on the nut. Quiet, woodland, farmhouse-autumn in feel. Works for fall porch signs, Thanksgiving table place cards, tea towels, tote bags, kids' school shirts and layered paper wreaths.
Single-colour, one cut layer, with closed welded paths and no strokes. The white ridge lines are cut-out slivers, so they are the part to watch: the thinnest ones need weeding tweezers, and below about 2.5 in tall they start to close up in vinyl. For crisp detail at small sizes use a fresh blade and glossy or matte permanent vinyl; at 6 in and up it also cuts well in cardstock and HTV. Pairs with oak leaf, pumpkin and pinecone silhouettes.
