A single oak leaf sits upright with deep rounded lobes along both sides, a curving stem, and a central midrib branching into fine side veins that read as thin openings in the solid shape. The feel is simple and seasonal, equally at home in autumn or woodland decor. Cut it for a fall garland or banner, Thanksgiving place cards, a layered leaf wreath, a front-door sign, window decals or an apron.
Single color, one cut layer, with the veins cut as narrow slits rather than drawn lines. Those slits are the limiting detail: stay at 4 inches or taller so they do not tear when weeding. Cardstock, adhesive vinyl and thin felt all work; for felt or flock, scale up or delete the vein slits first. Lift the leaf body before picking out the veins.
