A round bellied jar with a thick collar rim holds a small indoor garden: broad pointed leaves, a slim berry sprig, trailing stems with paired oval leaves, grass tufts and a mounded soil bed dotted with pebbles. The outline is heavy while the interior stays airy, so it reads clean at any size. Works nicely on plant lover tees, kitchen and plant shelf signs, greeting cards, tote bags, garden journal covers and window decals.
Single solid cut layer with generous negative space, so one color of vinyl or cardstock is enough. The berry sprig and grass blades are the thinnest strokes, so hold at 5 inches or larger on the long side; below that, simplify the sprig first. Matte black vinyl or a deep green both suit it. Weed the jar interior before the outer rim so nothing shifts. Pairs with the thistle and other botanical files.
