A classic five-lobed maple leaf with pointed tips, serrated edges and a slightly curved stem. The main vein and its branching side veins are cut out as fine open lines, giving the solid shape structure without a second color. Autumnal and clean. Good for a fall porch sign, a Canada-themed shirt, a Thanksgiving table place card, a coffee mug decal, a tote bag, or scattered leaf window clings.
One cut layer only. The vein lines taper to hairline tips, so 4 inches or larger keeps them from closing up; under that, cut the leaf as a plain solid and lose nothing important. Glitter or fall-tone permanent vinyl suits it, and heat transfer vinyl works if you weed the veins with a pin tool before the body. Pairs with the maple tree silhouette for a matching autumn set.
