A horse walks inside a double ring, its body filled with paisley swirls, spirals, dotted bands and leaf motifs, mane and tail flowing in fine tapered strokes. The ring is edged with two rounds of pointed petals, each one shaded with tiny hatch lines, so the whole piece reads as a sunburst medallion. Cut it for layered mandala wall art, a round wood sign, a glass-block or window overlay, a stable gift plaque, or a framed paper-cut piece.
Extremely detailed single-color line work, and this one needs size. Cut it at 10 inches or larger on cardstock or the interior hatch lines will tear; 12 inches is safer on vinyl. Use a new blade, slow the speed, and weed from the outer petals inward with a hook, lifting the horse's pattern last. Best in 65 lb cardstock or removable vinyl on glass. Pairs with the horse head silhouette and other mandala files.
