An elephant faces straight ahead with both ears spread wide, two curved tusks framing a long trunk ringed with carved lines, and soft white strokes shaping the brow, ear folds and toenails. It has a calm, hand-drawn portrait feel rather than a cartoon one. One color and one welded layer, but the detail count is high — the trunk rings and ear creases are narrow slivers. Keep it at 7 inches or larger in HTV and 8 inches in adhesive vinyl so the thin negatives survive weeding. Gray, black or a soft dusty blue all suit it. Weed the trunk lines last with a fine hook, and pair it with the giraffe, lion and other safari animal cut files.
