A scallop shell shown face on, wide and fan shaped, with a scalloped top edge and long ribs radiating down to the small hinge at the base. The ribs are cut as tapering white slivers that give it a shaded, inked look. One color, one layer. The rib slivers taper to points, so 5 inches or larger on the long side keeps the tips from tearing; below that, the shell still reads but loses the finest lines. Weed from the hinge upward so the ribs stay anchored. Try sand or pearl vinyl. Pairs with the sea turtle and seahorse.
