A hand-drawn screw stands point-down: a wide flat head with a heart punched clean through it, a smooth shank, and a coil of chunky threads tapering to a sharp tip. Small highlight slivers give it a comic-inked look. Suits garage and workshop signs, tool box and tool chest decals, handyman or maker shirts, Father's Day cards and gift tags, apron pockets and shop class labels.
One solid color on a single cut layer. The heart opening weeds easily, but the thread highlights are thin slivers, so keep the screw at 3 inches tall or larger on vinyl; go a touch bigger on glitter or patterned material. Silver, gunmetal or red vinyl both work. Weed the small highlights with a hook before lifting the body. Pairs with the shop's wrench, hammer and toolbox files.
