A grinning jack-o'-lantern faces forward with two slanted triangle eyes, a small triangle nose and a wide curved mouth broken by square teeth. Ribbed highlight strokes sweep down the body and a thick stem leans off the top, giving it a hand-carved, slightly mischievous look. Cut it for a Halloween t-shirt, a trick-or-treat tote, a porch welcome sign, a window cling, a trunk-or-treat car decal or a party table banner.
One solid colour with the face knocked out, so a single orange or black vinyl layer does the whole job — back it with a lighter surface and the grin lights up. The teeth and the narrow rib strokes are the smallest parts; keep it at 4 inches or above for vinyl. Weed the face openings first, then the thin ribs. Works as a set with the plain pumpkin, bat and ghost cut files.
