A porcupine stands in profile, its back and sides covered in long tapered quills that fan out in layers, with a small pointed snout, a single round eye, and short sturdy legs. Single color, one cut layer, all paths closed. Those slim quill slivers are the weak point, so 5 inches or larger on the long side keeps them from stretching as you weed; work from the spine outward.
