A rock pigeon stands in clean side profile: charcoal head and breast, a rounded mid-gray wing patch with white flight-feather lines, a long stepped tail and two red feet planted on the ground. The eye is a small red ring around a dark center, and the short beak carries a pale cere. Flat, modern, no outline. Works for tote bags, birdwatcher tees, mailbox decals, nursery wall vinyl, greeting cards and layered cardstock art.
Build it in four cut layers — charcoal body, gray wing, white feather highlights, red for eye ring and feet — each one welded and closed. The feather lines are the delicate part, so keep the bird at 5 in tall or more when layering vinyl; below that, cut the charcoal layer alone. Pairs nicely with the pelican and other bird cut files.
