A pelican stands in profile with its long pouched bill angled down, a shaggy crest at the back of the head, a slim curved neck and a wing worked with fine white feather strokes. One solid layer in a single color, so nothing needs aligning. The feather slivers on the wing and neck ruff are the delicate parts — 5 in or larger in vinyl keeps them intact, and cardstock wants closer to 6 in. Weed the wing last with a hook tool. Sits nicely beside the pheasant silhouette and other shorebirds.
