A newt is drawn from above in solid black, head turned to the left with a single round eye left open, four legs splayed out and each foot spread into slender toes. Its long tail sweeps back and curls into an S under the body, and thin white gaps mark where the limbs meet the torso. Cut it for a car or laptop decal, a terrarium or vivarium label, a nature-club tee, a notebook cover, a gift tag or a wood-sign stencil.
One solid color and one cut layer. The toes are the fine detail here: each is a narrow taper, so stay at 4 inches or wider on the long side and use a sharp fine-point blade with a slower speed. Permanent 651 vinyl and cardstock handle the toes well; skip glitter or flock unless you scale up. Weed the body first, then tease out the leg gaps with a weeding hook. Pairs with the other animal silhouettes in the shop.
