A full carnation head sits on a straight stem, its petals drawn as frilled, fringed edges layered around a deep center, with a bulbed calyx below and two pointed leaves angled off the stem. The line work is inky and hand-drawn rather than geometric, giving it a vintage botanical feel. One solid cut layer in black reads best, though petals and leaves can be split to two colors.
