A plump groundhog sits chest-deep in a mound of earth, facing forward with bright eyes, a pale muzzle, long whiskers and a shaggy furred coat. Tufts of grass, a cattail stem and a small wildflower frame the burrow, with loose soil scattered at the base. It is a one-color design with all detail carved out as negative space, so a single cut layer does the whole thing. The whiskers and grass blades are the thinnest strokes: stay at 6 in or wider on the long side, and 8 in if you are cutting glitter or flocked heat transfer. Use a fresh blade, slow the speed slightly, and weed the burrow highlights before the whiskers. Pairs with other seasonal animal and farmhouse cut files.
