A zebra stands in full profile, head turned slightly toward the viewer, its body filled with flowing hand-drawn stripes that narrow over the shoulder and haunch. The upright mane, dark muzzle, black hooves and tufted tail complete the shape. It reads clean and graphic rather than cartoonish, and suits safari nursery wall decor, kids' t-shirts, canvas totes, mugs, classroom labels and framed paper art.
One cut layer, one color, so black or dark brown vinyl on a light surface gives the sharpest result. The stripes taper to thin points, so 5 inches tall is a sensible floor for vinyl and 7 inches for cardstock. Weed from the belly outward and use transfer tape with firm tack.
