A hummingbird caught mid-hover, body angled downward with a long needle beak, a small round eye left open in white, one wing lifted high and separated into individual feather strokes, and a narrow forked tail trailing behind. Light, quick and elegant. Cut it for a garden stake sign, a window cling, a memorial tumbler, a nature-themed tee, a card for a bird lover, or a set of place cards.
Single color, and the wing feathers are thin white gaps that carry the whole design, so stay at 4 inches or larger and go bigger on glitter or patterned vinyl. Weed the feather slivers from the wing tip inward with a weeding hook before you lift the body. Cardstock, permanent vinyl and HTV all work.
