A wide-brim hat sits front-on, with a pinched crown, a curved upswept brim and a thin band cut out where the crown meets the brim. It is bold and western, the sort of shape that reads instantly at small sizes on a shirt pocket or a tumbler. It is a single-color, single-layer cut with one solid shape, so no layering or registration is needed. The two thin highlight slivers in the crown and band are the finest parts; below about 2 inches wide they close up, so cut at 3 inches or larger in htv or keep them as negative space in cardstock. Black, tan or brown vinyl suits it. Weed the band first, then the outer brim. Pairs well with the shop's boots, horseshoe and rope lettering files.
