A dragonfly is shown from directly above with four long wings spread wide, each traced with fine curving vein lines, a pair of large round eyes, two thin antennae, and a slender segmented abdomen tapering to a point. Single-colour silhouette where all the wing veins are thin cutouts. Those veins are the fragile part, so hold at 5 inches wide or more in vinyl and 7 inches for etched glass. Iridescent, holographic or matte black vinyl both flatter the wing shape. Weed the veins gently with a hook working from wing tip to body, and keep the transfer tape flat so the thin abdomen does not stretch. Pairs well with butterfly and floral cut files.
