A thick rectangular chopping board with rounded corners, a short paddle handle and a small hanging hole, tilted in three-quarter view so you can see the edge thickness. White scratch marks and grain streaks run across the black surface like a woodcut print. Cut it for a farmhouse kitchen sign, a flour sack towel, a baker's apron, a recipe binder cover, a pantry door decal, or a chef gift tumbler.
One solid color and a single cut layer, but the grain lines are thin slivers, so this one rewards a fresh blade. At 6 inches wide the streaks weed cleanly; below 4 inches they start closing up, so scale up or simplify. Black or walnut-brown HTV on natural linen looks closest to real wood. Weed the narrow grain slivers first while the sheet is still flat, then the handle hole. Pairs with rolling pin, whisk and kitchen quote cut files.
